While I like (some of) this man's, I deeply detest art-apocalyptics (and language-apocalyptics). So now I sit here: befuddled.

nor do I like them or their brethren, the anti-masses, but i don't think that's what he's saying. it's the thing about do you want your art emerging primarily out of the market economy? and don't you want art to have a immediately powerful and ultimately lasting effect? that I like about this. I also admit to liking his attitude, which = "No bullshit. Here's what I think."

i don't know anything about this guy, but i do like what he says here (even if i am SO guilty of buying crap in airport bookshops). but more than anything, i like how he leans into the camera as if he's really talking to ME.
